At our regular meeting this month (which will be next Tuesday, October 1st, at 7:00PM, please join us at the usual spot for a fun and informative evening of beekeeping talk.
First, we will have a short talk on winterizing your beehives and disease treatment. Following that, we will have an open Q and A session for any beekeeping questions.
Then, our main speaker of the evening, Toni Downs, will regale us with tales of beekeeping in the Caribbean. Ms. Downs is an American born beekeeper, who is now a St. Croix beekeeper. She will share what it takes to manage honeybee colonies in paradise, along with all of the value added products she produces.
Please join us for what is certain to be a sweet evening.
Yours in Buzzing Delight,
The NYCBA Team
Friendly Reminder Department:
If you're keeping bees in NYC, it is MANDATORY to register your hives with the NYC Department of Health. We fought hard to get beekeeping legalized in NYC, but maintaining that status requires good-faith compliance with the laws and regulations that govern this activity. Please visit our resources page to download the relevant forms. Thanks for your cooperation!
