In case anyone is interested... Plants great for attracting beneficials and bees.
BEE BALM (Oswego, Monarda)
HYSSOP: Hyssop may be the number one preference among bees and some beekeepers rub the hive with it to encourage the bees to keep to their home.
NETTLES, STINGING: The flowers attract bees.
PEPPERMINT: Bees and other good guys love it.
SUMMER SAVORY: Honey bees love it.
SWEET ALYSSUM: Their blooms draw bees to pollinate early blooming fruit trees.
ZINNIA: All zinnias attract bees and other insect pollinators.

If there is interest I will continue to share what I know/learn as I go...
I am interested in cultivating a small ecosystem in which the bees on my roof will exist. Whether they forage on this or not is irrelevant, in my opinion such plants are clearly part of their symbiosis in nature and to have them around should only do them good. BTW most of these are Medicinals for Humans too!

Maybe others would like to join me in such postings???

Thx
